The USA ended 2021 on a high note thanks to the late entry of a pair of debutants during a frustrating performance against Bosnia & Herzegovina. The 20-year-old Cole Bassett finished a rebound of 18-year-old Jonathan Gomez's shot in the 89th minute for a 1-0 win. The goal came after 49 minutes of the USA playing with a man-advantage following a red card to Amar Begic for a foul on Kellyn Acosta.
