USWNT training camp: Gautrat and Weaver in, Dorsey out

A day after the U.S, women's national team roster for its January camp was released, three changes were made.

Portland Thorns forward Morgan Weaver and Chicago Red Stars midfielder Morgan Gautrat were added to the roster for the camp in Austin running Jan. 19-28.

Weaver was called in after Catarina Macario withdrew due to her French club Lyon's draw in the Coupe de France, which set up a meeting with archrival on Jan. 30, two days after the camp ends.

Gautrat, who has 87 caps, started when the USA won the 2015 World Cup title and played one game at the 2019 World Cup in France but has not played for the USA since November 2019. Her last call-up was for a training camp in October 2020, the national team's first camp following the pandemic lockdown.

Gotham FC defender Imani Dorsey was ruled out due to an injury.
