U.S. forward
Daryl Dike is expected to miss eight weeks because of a hamstring injury sustained in his first start for West Bromwich Albion since his transfer from Orlando City.
Dike, 21, picked up the injury in West Brom's 3-0 win over Peterborough on Saturday.
"It's a bad hit for us because he was our transfer target No. 1 and we saw in short spells how good it is to have him,'' West Brom manager
Valerien Ismael. "It's painful for me, for us, for the players, for the club and for the fans.''
Dike spent four months last season on loan to Barnsley, where Ismael was the manager. Dike's success -- nine goals in 19 games -- made him a target of many English clubs.
Scottish Premiership club Livingston has signed 21-year-old forward
Sebastian Soto on loan from Norwich City for the remainder of the 2021-22 season.
Soto, a product of the Real Salt Lake academy, signed with Norwich City in 2020 after leaving Hannover and has spent time at second-tier clubs in the Netherlands (Telstar) and Portugal (Porto B). Livingston is ninth in the 12-team Premiership, which now features Americans on seven teams.
Livingston manager
David Martindale told his club’s website:
“Sebastian was on our radar in the summer but we missed out to Porto. It hasn’t quite worked out for him over in Portugal and the opportunity came up again a few weeks ago and fortunately this time, we’ve been successful."
Sucks for Dike and USA... Great for Soto, Hope he can get some Minutes and Goals.
