Central defender Mason opened the scoring with a header from a corner kick by Olivia Moultrie, the 16-year-old Portland Thorns pro, in the 8th minute. Haiti managed keep the USA at bay for the rest of the first half, but five minutes into the second, Thompson opened the floodgates after a setup by Cooper, who had stolen the ball in Haiti's half. Lilly Reale (UCLA) assisted on Jackson's goal, DellaPeruta scored from the penalty spot after Thompson was fouled, and Patterson prepped Cooper's stoppage time goal.
Mexico faces Canada in the other semifinal. The third-place game winner also earns a World Cup spot.

By the way: Keep hating to bring this Up, But... Lives are at Stake...
From USSF Website article on the Game:
"The entire U.S. team wore black armbands in remembrance of Katie Meyer, the former U.S. Youth National Team player and Stanford goalkeeper who passed away last week."
She didn't "PASS AWAY"... She Committed Suicide ... It does NO GOOD for someone Else, in Mental Crisis or those around them to HIDE or "Sugar Coat" the Facts, which could Help Someone Else.
And to make matters Worse they didn't Post what appears in EVERY ARTICLE or Mention of her Name: Just Google it...
from Fox Sports Radio article:
"If you or someone you know is at risk of suicide please call the U.S. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255, text HOME to 741741 or go to SpeakingOfSuicide.com/resources for additional resources.'
In NO Way or Manner Should Suicide be Condoned or Elevated.!!!
If they Really want to have the Team Wear Something;
HOW ABOUT SOME SHORTS THAT FIT.!!!!
(Maybe Rapinoe et. al where Correct about the Un-Equal Treatment)
It has been Embarassing to see the Gals Pulling up their Shorts after every Play and even resorting to TAPING them UP, to keep them on.!!!
Can't NIKE Design Shorts the Women can feel Comfortable IN.!?!?!
How much was that Contract,???
...and we CAN'T get Shorts that are Age and SEX appropriate.!?!?!?
Come on CPC... We Need an OVERNIGHT Delivery to Dominica with some PROPER Shorts.!!!
Santi, now you're coming into my pet peeve....The lousy shorts or rather design soccer shorts of the present....They are so sight, stove pipe style that there is no way you can feel free in leg movement..Why not just long wear long pants to play....I prefer the Adidas style shorts that were made of 70/80's. They were actually shorts and it allows one to show the legs as well....
Until I turned 60 I quit playing due to having both knees replaced but up until that time I would wear those Adidas shorts even though they were out of style for the past 30 years...I either have them made by a tailor or I would wait and when go back to Holland and go visit Cruyff's brother sport store and go in the back to get those shorts left over in stock from the old days....
The women shorts might need some work but at least they decided to play in a shorter style which I prefer....
Frank, I used to get Cat Calls from the H.S. Chicas en Espana when I would run to the Retiro to Train in those Short Shorts... How HUMILIATING.!!! {NOT ;);) }
"Oye, Rubio,.. Que Piernas.!!!"
You've got to see "House of Gucci" ... All the Sterotypes from the 70's are there.!!!
Santi, ....You know why soccer became popular with women here is because the saw men's soccer legs....Because of that to compete with the SEXY soccer legs, the NFL had their pants made tight and same with baseball....
Women love nice legs and vice versa,LOL
Damn Human Nature.!?!?!?
A few years ago I wrote a column for Soccer America titled "Soccer's Dirty Little Secret". In it, I pointed out that all the teams in the most recent Women's World Cup were forced to wear men's uniforms. Not until they reached the finals were they offered uniforms designed for women.
I pointed out that if a man wants to feel what a woman does they should wear a jersey two sizes two big and a pair of shorts two sizes too small and put them on backwards. The yolk and sleeve drop on men's shirts are too long for most women's frames. The "drop" or length of the seam in front and in back of men's shorts is directly opposite of what most women need.
This problem exists at most levels of the sport because club administrators have bought into the convenience and economy of buying boy's and men's sizes. Manufacturers have perpetrated this injustice by not offering all their models, styles and colors in specific sizes for girls and women, forcing clubs to offer females an altogether different uniform from the guys if they want proper fit. The argument is it makes club inventory control easier. The big manufacturers have traditionally offered only a fraction of the options and matching colors and designs in female sizes that they do in male sizes despite the fact that approximately 52% of all soccer players in the U.S. are female. In the years since I wrote the article, little has changed for most clubs.
it's soccer's dirty little secret.
Yeah, Jim...
It was bad enough when the Gals used to have to Roll them over Once,
But this is RIDICULOUS.!!!
I mean you actually have Players Pulling up their Shorts While thier Running down the Field.!!!
