Qatar 2022: What to know about attending the World Cup

Latest ticket sales period receives 23.5 million requests

According to FIFA, 23.5 million ticket requests were filed during the second ticket sales phase for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The random selection draw sales period ended on April 28.

The most number of ticket applications submitted by a single country came from Argentina. It was followed Brazil, England, France, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and the United States in terms of ticket demand for the group stage matches.

The most popular single matches:

Argentina vs. Mexico
Argentina vs. Saudi Arabia
England vs. the USA
Poland vs. Argentina

Ticket applicants will be notified of the outcome of their ticket applications by email starting May 31.

More than 800,000 tickets sold in the first ticket sales phase.

    I was one of the few non-press Americans that attended Russia 2018, taking advantage of the visa that came with tix and following a
    random country.  I chose Uruguay.  I will not do Qatar.  I leave this one to the baseball fans and players that love soccer, unless something falls in my lap,
    of
    course.  My friends that are trying are having good luck in the process.  Best of luck to those that do.
