A 2-1 loss to Arsenal dropped Leeds United into the English Premier League relegation zone. American coach Jesse Marsch took the helm of struggling Leeds less than three months ago and after two losses guided it to a five-game undefeated streak. But then Leeds United headed into a highly difficult late-season schedule. It fell, 2-1, to Arsenal on Saturday after a 4-0 loss to Manchester City. Next up is Chelsea.
All went wrong for Leeds on Sunday when it went down 2-0 within 10 minutes on goals from Eddie Nketiah, who played for Leeds on loan in previous seasons. The first came after a blunder by keeper Illan Meslier. Leeds captain Luke Ayling was ejected in the 27th minute.
