Yanks Abroad: Carter-Vickers and Wingo complete doubles

Cameron Carter-Vickers and Henry Wingo won their second titles of the 2021-22 season with their respective clubs on Wednesday.

Carter-Vickers started for Celtic in its 1-1 tie at Dundee United that clinched the Scottish Premiership with one match to play. He started for Celtic when it won the League Cup in December.

Carter-Vickers joined Celtic on loan from Tottenham after loan spells at six different English Championship clubs.

Wingo was a late sub for Ferencvaros in its 3-0 win over Paksi SE in the final of the Magyar Kupa, the Hungarian Cup. He won his second straight Hungarian league title with Ferencvaros following his transfer from Molde with which he won Norwegian league title.

Wingo played for three seasons at the University of Washington before joining the Seattle Sounders as a Homegrown player in 2017. They transferred him to Molde in 2019.

Three other Americans have already won doubles in 2020-21: Brenden Aaronson (Austrian Bundesliga and OFB-Cup with Red Bull Salzburg), Christian Pulisic (UEFA Super League and FIFA Club World Cup with Chelsea) and Ben Lederman (Polish Super Cup and Cup with Rakow Czestochowa).
