• Rubio Rubin FIFA-approved for Guatemala. The 26-year-old Oregon product, who was U.S. Soccer Young Male Athlete of the Year in 2012, played for the USA at the 2015 U-20 World Cup, and earned seven U.S. caps in 2014-18, has been approved to represent Guatemala, his mother's homeland. Rubin is in his second season with Real Salt Lake after stints in the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Mexico. (

• U.S. U-20 women beat Costa Rica. Camryn Lancaster (TCU), Katherine Rader (Florida United) and Taylor Huff (Tennessee) scored in the 3-0 friendly win in Chula Vista on Sunday against Costa Rica, which will host the U-20 Women's World Cup in August.
