In Brief: Americans Abroad

Auston Trusty continues to impress at Birmingham. The 23-year-old defender has quickly settled into the lineup at Birmingham City, which he joined on loan from Arsenal after playing the first half of 2022 with the Colorado Rapids. He had a solid outing in the Blues' 2-1 win over Huddersfield Town in their League Championship home opener after earning chants of "USA" from away Birmingham fans during the 0-0 tie at Luton Town in the season opener.

Owen Otasowie struggles in Jupiler League debut. A year after Otasowie moved to Club Brugge from Wolves in a $4 million transfer, he made his first Belgian league appearance, starting on a three-player backline in a 1-1 tie with Zuite Waregem. He struggled in the first half and exited in the 68th minute after being injured.

Otasowie #8... I've been waiting 2 years to see this guy play ..
Not sure what game "You" we're watching.???
Played CBL in a 4 back system... Played VERY Well for Someone who has Never played in that Position... Did get caught Twice in Possession, which other team did not Convert on... (Not usual, for someone Changing over from Attacking Minded Midfielder to a CB)...His Teammates seemed Comfortable and Not Panicked to give him the Ball .. Really able to Switch the Ball 50 yards Diagonally to #77 as a RT Overlapping Wingback( thereby breaking the other teams GegenPress, Something USA should do with DEST)... Looks every bit as Athletic and Physical as McKenZIE or Miles Robinson or EPB, Clearly better than LONG...Was first to the Ball on 5 Offensive Corners(Needs to work on the Timing, so he get the Headers on Goal)... "Prototype" Ggg CB... Plays High and can Sprint back, Sweep across to Cover other side if needed.... REASON he went Off was, he stepped up into the Midfield and "Cracked" Opponent Cleanly OUT of the Game ... Banged his Knee Cap on the Play, Didn't look all that Serious... Would have liked to see him "Play On" thru the Pain ... Could be part of the Mental "Issues" it seems he has to Overcome.. If No EPB or McKenZIE, might be an Option at CB.???... We Shall see.???
