U.S. U-17 women beat European champion Germany

Emeri Adames' 31st minute goal earned the Concacaf champion a 1-0 win over Germany in the final game of the USA's three-game camp in Madrid. The Solar SC forward had also scored in the USA's 1-1 tie with Spain last week.

Coach Natalia Astrain's team, preparing for the 2022 Under-17 Women's World Cup in October, spent two weeks training in Madrid, where it opened with 2-0 win over Spain, which finished runner-up to Germany in the 2022 U-17 European Championship.

Adames' goal in Thursday's win over the Germans came after a give-and-go with Lauren Martinho(NC Courage).
