In Brief: Yates investigation into NWSL abuse almost completed

• In a statement issued on Monday, U.S. Soccer said the year-long investigation, led by former acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Yates, into alleged abuse and misconduct in the NWSL is nearing its conclusion. The federation plans on publishing the full report by early October. U.S. Soccer retained Yates in the aftermath of accusations of sexual harassment and coercion by two former players against longtime NWSL coach Paul Riley. Yates has not only been investigating allegations of misconduct in the NWSL but how it might have been concealed. The NWSL and its players association initiated a separate independent investigation.

I hope Yates doesn't turn a blind eye. I hope she steps up and shows the truth. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". Edmund Burke 1790
