U.S. U-17 MYNT will play U-18 teams in Czech tournament

The U.S. U-17 MYNT will face U-18 teams from Slovakia, Germany and the host Czech Republic at the annual Vaclav Jezek Tournament.

The U-17s, featuring MLS pros Cruz Medina (San Jose Earthquakes) and Brian Carmona Romero (Charlotte FC), have done well on trips to Argentina and Portugal in the past year.

The U.S. squad also includes three Spanish-based players: Diego Kochen and Adrian Gill at Barcelona and Pedro Soma at UE Cornella.

All the U.S. players were born on or after Jan. 1, 2006, and are age-eligible for the 2023 Concacaf U-17 Championship in Guatemala.
