Matt Turner and Jordan Pefok were the only Americans of national team relevance to feature in Thursday’s Europa League play.
Turner notched his first clean sheet with Arsenal, which cruised to a 3-0 win over Bodo/Glimt of Norway. He had three saves and a relatively quiet evening.
Pefok went 74 minutes in Union Berlin’s 1-0 away win against Malmo and had four half chances in the box. Union went down to 10 men in the 45th minute and struggled offensively in the second half.
Funny how US Soccer media calls attention to has-been Timmy Chandler/Frankfurt but when former USMNT player Mix Diskerud is playing versus Manchester United, not a peep.
He looked Better than ANY of the Over-25 MLS players that Ggg is Contemplating for WC22... So did Wingo for Ferencvarosi
Matt Turner, Sure CAN Save some Shots!!!! ... Footwork is Still Sketchy...
As long as we Don't REQUIRE him to play Tiki-Taka out of The Back, we will be OK.
As much as Steffen is Better than Turner with his Feet, at Least I don't see Turner "Turning It Over" with a SILLY Decision on "Fancy Footwork" Brain Fart, We've all seen Steffen do that Once a Game.
Horvath Looks Good, But we Never Know when he is going to Go Brain Dead and Give up a Goal on his One "Weird" play a Game.!?!?!?
And Now that Sean Johnson has a Commercial with Continental Tire, Look for Ggg to bring Johnson, instead of Horvath. (Got to Fill that MLS Quota)
