Women's World Cup: Haiti clinches first appearance

• Haiti qualified for the Women's World Cup when it beat Chile, 2-1, in the playoffs. Melchie Dumornay, 19, scored both goals to send the 55th-ranked Grenadieres to the finals for the first time. Dumornay recently agreed to join French giant Lyon after her contract at Reims expires at the end of the D1 Arkema season. Haiti will play alongside England, China and Denmark in Group D of the World Cup. It's the fifth Concacaf team to qualify along with the USA, Canada, Jamaica and Costa Rica.
