Union Berlin's fairytale quest to dethrone 10-time Bundesliga defending champion Bayern Munich took a blow with a 3-0 loss in the Bavarian capital on Sunday. Union Berlin, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich — upset, 3-2, by Borussia Moenchenglabach the previous weekend — entered gameday 22, tied on 43 points. Borussia Dortmund's 1-0 win at Hoffenheim keeps it even on 46 points with Bayern Munich at the top of the standings, but Bayern has a plus-43 goal difference while BVB is at plus-18.
In the win over Union Berlin, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (31st minute), Kingsley Coman (40) and Jamal Musiala (45+1) scored for Bayern.
