Eastern Conference:
• Louisville City is the only conference team with two wins in two games after its 1-0 win at Monterey Bay F.C. Brian Ownby scored the only goal and former Marshall keeper Oliver Semmle made three saves in his pro debut ... Newcomer Tyler Pasher scored two goals and Birmingham’s all-time leading goal scorer, Neco Brett, completed the Legion FC comeback with the winner in stoppage time for a 3-2 win over FC Tulsa ... Cameroonian Albert Dikwa registered his first career hat trick to lead Pittsburgh to a 3-1 win over Memphis 901, which finished the 2022 season in second place in the Eastern Conference but has opened the 2023 season with two losses at home.
Western Conference:
• Evan Conway, Ronaldo Damus and Blake Bodily scored to give San Diego a 3-0 win over Phoenix. The Loyal, which got two assists from Elliot Collier, took the conference lead with six points ... Defending league champion San Antonio FC got a second-half equalizer from Ignacio Bailone to tie Loudoun United, 1-1 on the road and extend its unbeaten streak to 13 matches over two seasons ... Sac Republic drew the largest crowd of the season with 11,569 fans at Heart Health Park for the 1-1 tie with Charleston.
