MLS Next: Nine new programs will begin play in the fall

MLS Next has added nine new programs that will begin play in the fall of 2023.

U13-17, U19 programs:

Athletum FC (Hialeah, Fla.)
Capital City SC (Austin, Texas)
Sporting Athletic Club (Wilmington, Del.)
• The former Sporting Delaware is Delaware's first MLS Next club.

U13-14 programs:

Ironbound SC (Newark, N.J.)
Los Angeles Bulls SC (Pacific Palisades, Calif.)
Los Angeles SC (West Covina, Calif.)
Modesto Ajax United (Modesto, Calif.)
• Produced U.S. internationals Heath Pearce and Tisha Venturini.
Nashville United Soccer Academy (Brentwood, Tenn.)
West Virginia Soccer (Shepherdstown, WV)
• First West Virginia program in MLS Next

    Interesting.  They are growing within existing clubs as well expanding age group grants.  I am sure ECNL boys continues to grow as well.  Meanwhile, friend of mine is taking his USSF 'B'.  It was not possible
    the past two years for him and he was one of the 'fortunate' to be accepted.  Given those constraints, growth of 'academy' leagues to what are surely unprecidented numbers (quantity) and the two year dip training of licensed coaches.and still very limited number of coaches in licencing pipeline - it is fair to
    ask if the quality of developmemt can be expected to improve.
