Soccer America introduced a new Player Ratings feature with Wednesday's USA-Mexico men's friendly.
Fans weighed in on how the USMNT did in its 1-1 tie. They gave us their USMNT player ratings, on a scale of 1-10 (1=low, 10=high). Some even added comments.
(Look out for this Player Ratings feature after upcoming USMNT and USWNT matches!)

Comments • Sands > Acosta.
• A low key game especially for US v Mexico standards. Mexico overall slightly better but they scored on a US gift. The US attack was mostly invisible except they took advantage of their opportunity and Sonora with a great ball to open Mexico up on the goal.
• Boa equipa jovem e caminho serto para evaluar.
• Acosta was horribly.
• Our men really need a true 9.
• Long doesn’t even start in MLS.
• I think my ratings may be a bit high. Acosta was a turnover machine.
• Acosta was Acosta - lively but a major liability. Johnson was Johnson - good shot blocking but atrocious with his feat. Zimmerman same thing but insert heading instead of shot blocking. Sands and Morris were best players with Dest slightly lower only because he didn’t get enough volume. Sonora and the other Morris were upgrades. Rest were average.
• Mediocre.
• Don't you think that the US team needs to practice "passing between teammates--they kept passing to the sour losers Mexicans.
• Hudson 3.
Imagine if Dest could link up with someone he can play with, like Gio. We wouldn't have to watch a bunch of long balls down the channels like we saw through the first half.
The fan poll grossly underrated Cowell. The comments about Acosta and Johnson are spot-on.
The team (and the national team program in general) goes nowhere without a new coach. Time to get this done.
Pretty Nifty... I like it
Can you put it "Side-By-Side", Comparison with the SA Ratings.???
