• Charleston stayed on top thanks to a 0-0 tie with Louisville City in a weather-delayed game at Patriots Point. The Battery remained unbeaten (4-0-3), matching its best start to a season since 2015 when it also opened with a seven-game unbeaten streak. The game's best chance came in the second half when Mexican U-17 star Fidel Barajas hit the crossbar ... Indy Eleven drew 10,038 fans at Carroll Stadium -- its largest home crowd of the season -- but it fell to Monterey Bay 3-2, dropping its third straight game ... Memphis 901 won its first game with a 3-0 victory at Rio Grande Valley FC on goals by Bruno Lapa, Graham Smith and Nighte Pickering, the 18-year-old Alabaman signed out of the FC Dallas academy.
Western Conference:
• Sac Republic FC extended its lead to four points thanks to a 1-0 win over struggling Detroit City FC. Its shutout streak is now at five matches. The match marked the first start for 20-year-old defender Aldair Sanchez, signed following an open tryout ... Goals by Petar Petrovic and Lucho Solignac (becoming its all-time leading goal scorer) gave El Paso a 2-0 win over Pittsburgh. After opening with three straight losses, Locomotive FC has gained 10 points from its last four games with three wins and a tie.
