The 20-year-old American winger Yunus Musah's chances of avoiding LaLiga relegation got a big boost with Valencia's 2-1 win over Real Valladolid. Down 1-0 on a goal by Canadian Cyle Larin in the sixth minute, Valencia tied it up with a Mouctar Diakhaby goal on the hour mark.

The 19-year-old Javier Guerra scored a beauty three minutes into stoppage time to earn Valencia a second-straight win after a four-game winless streak dropped it two points into the relegation zone.

After Thursday's win, which followed Sunday's 2-0 victory at Elche, Valencia sits two points above the drop zone.

Musah, who started and played 84 minutes against  Real Valladolid, has made 28 LaLiga appearances this season.
