COLLEGE: Pore leads Tulsa men past No. 1 Stanford

Ryan Pore scored two second-half goals to lead Tulsa to a 3-1 win over No. 1 Stanford, dropping the Cardinal from the ranks of the unbeaten.

The Golden Hurricane rallied from a 1-0 deficit to win on goals by Pore at 54:46 and 82:35 and Kyle Brown's insurance goal at 87:30. Two days later, Cal knocked off Tulsa, 2-0, to claim Stanford's Nike Invitational.

No. 5 South Carolina also fell for the first time this season when it dropped a 1-0 decision to unranked Davidson on Joel Sadler's first goal of the year.

In the weekend's top clash, No. 3 Wake Forest crushed No. 10 Maryland, 3-0, in the most lopsided victory for Wake Forest in the series' 25-game history. Ryan Alexander teamed with fellow freshman Justin Moose to score the first goal. Jeremiah White scored on a penalty kick to close out the first half, and senior Adam Hakes had his first goal in more than two years.

The only unbeaten teams left in the country are Wake Forest (6-0-2), No. 14 Loyola Marymount (8-0-0), No. 17 Yale (5-0-0), No. 20 Bradley (8-0-2), No. 23 Coastal Carolina (8-0-1), 24 UC Santa Barbara (7-0-0) and unranked Holy Cross (7-0-1).

Also losing for the first time this season were New Mexico, Columbia, Detroit, Gorge Mason, Duquesne and UNC Wilmington.
