U.S. Abroad (Sept. 27-29): Sanneh, Stewart score again

For the second straight weekend, Tony Sanneh and Earnie Stewart each scored a goal for their respective clubs. Stewart's tally helped NAC Breda become the first team not to lose to mighty Ajax this season as it earned a 2-2 draw in Amsterdam.

ENGLAND

* Brad Friedel (Blackburn, PL) at West Brom, Monday

* Kasey Keller (Tottenham, PL) vs. Middlesbrough, 0-3. Started: 90 minutes. Keller suffered a calf injury during the game that leaves him questionable for Tuesday's Worthington Cup match against Cardiff. Since backup Neil Sullivan has a broken thumb, Canadian Lars Hircshfeld will play if Keller is unable to go. Spurs' perfect record at home this season was shattered in this lopsided defeat. Keller was hung out to dry on several occasions as Tottenham's 13-man injury list took its toll.

* Joe-Max Moore (Everton, PL) vs. Fulham, 2-0. DNP.

* Jovan Kirovski (Birmingham, PL) vs. Newcastle, 0-2. Entered as a substitute, 68th minute.

* Claudio Reyna (Sunderland, PL) vs. Aston Villa, 1-0. Started: 90 minutes. Reyna wore the armband and continued his string of fine performances. He has now captained a first-division club in Germany, Scotland and England. David Bellion's 69th-minute strike ended a goal-less streak of almost five hours for Sunderland and provided another release valve for the mounting pressure on manager Peter Reid.

* Marcus Hahnemann (Reading, D1) vs. Stoke, 1-1. Started: 90 minutes.

* Eddie Lewis (Preston North End, D1) vs. Norwich, 1-2. Started: 90 minutes. Norwich extended its road unbeaten streak to six games.

GERMANY

* Gregg Berhalter (Energie Cottbus, D1) vs. Wolfsburg, 0-1. Started: 72 minutes. The Wolfburg goal came as a result of some ''hesitant defending'' by the Cottbus backs, according to wire reports. Cottbus sits a mere one point ahead of last-place Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga standings.

* Conor Casey (Hannover 96, D1) at Hansa Rostock, 2-1. DNP - injured.

* Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96, D1) at Hansa Rostock, 2-1 Started: 90 minutes. Hannover's second win of the season came against another team near the top of the standings.

* Tony Sanneh (Nuremberg, D1) vs. Kaiserslautern, 1-0. Started: 90 minutes. Sanneh scored the goal in the 68th minute in front of a home crowd of about 30,000. Advancing from a stopper position, Sanneh took a pass from Tommy Svindal Larsen, Sanneh went by Dimitrios Grammozis before rifling home a 12-yard shot.

* Mike Duhaney (Mainz, D2) vs. Freiburg, Monday.

* Cory Gibbs (St. Pauli, D2) vs. Mannheim, 5-2. DNP - injured. Gibbs suffered a hamstring tear in St. Pauli's opening game of the season against Franfurt and has been unable to play since.

* Grover Gibson (Mainz, D2) vs. Freiburg, Monday. * Jacob Thomas (Braunschweig, D2) vs. Koln, 1-1. DNP.

FRANCE

* David Regis (Troyes, D1) vs. Lyon, 1-1. DNP.

* Greg Vanney (Bastia, D1) vs. Bordeaux, 2-1. DNP.

* Oguchi Onyewu (Metz, D2) at Raon, 0-2. DNP.

NETHERLANDS

* John O'Brien (Ajax, D1) vs. NAC Breda, 2-2. DNP - injured. O'Brien is still out with an Achilles' tendon injury he suffered last weekend. The tie was the first blemish on Ajax's record this season and cost the Amsterdam club its first-place spot alongside rival PSV Eindhoven, which blitzed DeGraafschap.

* Earnie Stewart (NAC, D1) at Ajax, 2-2.

Started: 90 minutes. Stewart's goal in the 21st minute put the visitors out to a shocking 2-0 lead. The goal was also Stewart's 50th goal in his seven-year tenure at NAC Breda and earned him man-of-the-match honors. Breda remains one of four unbeaten teams in the Dutch league.

BELGIUM

* Alex Yi (Antwerp, D1) vs. Club Brugge, 2-2. Started: 90 minutes. Yi's first action of the season came in a holding midfielder role.

NORWAY
