Countdown: Women's World Cup

France. Winger  Delphine Cascarino will miss the World Cup after her club, Lyon, announced that she would be out of action "for several months" with a knee injury (partial rupture of the right anterior cruciate ligament). The 26-year-old winger came off in tears in Lyon's 1-0 win over Paris SG last weekend that clinched another French title. Les Bleues, under new coach Herve Renard, are already without striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto due to a knee injury.
