NWSL Weekend: Megan Rapinoe ignites OL Reign win with three assists in span of 21 minutes

OL Reign rebounded from back-to-back losses to beat Angel City FC, 4-1.

Megan Rapinoe
sparked the comeback from a 1-0 deficit with an assist on a goal by Elyse Bennett in the 34th minute and assists on a pair of goals by Veronica Latsko three minutes apart in the second half, in the 52nd and 55th minutes.

"I think in the previous games, honestly, a little bit, a lot of this season, I haven't gone into the pockets as much as I normally do," said Rapinoe, "and that is just kind of my bread and butter - so dangerous, it puts a lot of pressure on the defense."

The win left OL Reign in a four-way tie for second place behind Gotham FC, which tied the Washington Spirit, 1-1, on Sunday.
