• Katherine Holland, the director of the successful KC2026 World Cup bid, has been named the executive director of the non-profit organization overseeing Kansas City’s preparations for the 2026 World Cup. She previously served as the executive director when the 2017 U.S. Figure Skating Championships were held in Kansas City. She also worked on the bid to bring the 2023 NFL Draft to Kansas City's Union Station.
