MLS Next: David Ochoa joins Ventura County Fusion staff

• David Ochoa, who two years ago led Real Salt Lake to the Western Conference final, has joined the Ventura County Fusion’s MLS Next program as the goalkeeper coach for players U-13 to U-19. Ochoa, 22, played for the USA at the 2019 U-20 World Cup and for the U-23s in 2021 Olympic qualifying but then switched to represent Mexico. He fell out of favor at RSL in 2022 and played one game at Atletico San Luis in 2022-23 before being released.
