• Atlanta gets 2024 Copa America opener, Miami to host final.Conmebol announced the first dates and venues for the 2024 Copa America: The opener will be played June 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta while the final will be held July 14 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

• Ally Mackay becomes youngest MLS GM. D.C. United hired the 37-year-old Scotsman as its new general manager and chief soccer officer, making him MLS's youngest active executive in both positions. He spent the previous five seasons as Nashville SC’s assistant general manager.

• Lesle Gallimore will receive Chyzowych Award. The OL Reign GM has had distinguished career in women's soccer as a college head coach (26 years at Washington) and the Girls Academy League's first commissioner. She'll be honored on Jan. 13 at the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Anaheim. Brandi Chastain and Paul Caligiuri will receive Chyzowych distinguished playing career awards.
