U.S. SOCCER: U-20 men manage only one win at USASA Festival

Coach Thomas Rongen's U.S. U-20 squad managed only one win in four games at the U.S. Amateur Soccer Festival in Houston, Texas last week.

The Americans, who are preparing for qualifying for the 2003 U-20 World Cup, opened with a 2-1 win over the USASA East Region squad on goals by Devin Barclay and Justin Mapp.

They played to a scoreless tie with USASA South Region before suffering a 2-1 loss to Canada and tying Mexico, 0-0. The USA played the last 26 minutes against Mexico with a man advantage.

The U-20 CONCACAF qualifying tournament takes place in November.
