  • Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

    1. MLS teams will be wearing Parley eco-friendly uniforms during Earth Day weekend (April 19-21). It will be part of an adidas initiative to transform plastic waste collected on beaches and in coastal communities into high-performance sportswear. MLS clubs and league office staff will work on MLS Works' Greener Goals project to identify ways to reduce the MLS's greenhouse gas footprint and raise awareness about environmental issues.

    Alianza de Futbol announced a four-year partnership with Univision Deportes to showcase Allstate Sueno Alianza, the scouting program for talented Hispanic youth across the United States. Univision Deportes will cover the 2019 Alianza de Futbol tour in 10 cities, beginning with the May 25 event in Atlanta, and create a special one-hour program to show the highlights of the scouting program.

    3. Louisville City made 16-year-old Elijah Wynder its first USL academy signing. Wynder plays for his high school, Louisville Collegiate School, and his club team, Ohio Elite-KY. He'll join Louisville City for its road game against the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday.
