  • Evening Edition: What's in the news ...

    1. MLS has launched its own channel on Pluto TV, a leading free streaming television service. Programming includes repeats of great matches through the years, feature documentaries as well as league-produced studio shows Matchday Central, Extratime and MLS Review. Pluto TV currently offers more than 100 channels. Other sports channels include a network of Fox Sports content and the Big Sky Conference network and networks dedicated to mixed martial arts, boxing, wrestling and surfing.

    2. Former U.S. U-20 Lagos Kunga has been loaned to Memphis 901 FC by Atlanta United for the remainder of the 2019 USL Championship season. He's played with the Charleston Battery and ATL UTD 2 since graduating from Atlanta United's academy but never in MLS. Kunga, 20, played in four of the USA's five games at the 2017 U-20 World Cup and scored one goal.

    The USA opened play at the 2019 Concacaf Beach Championship with a 14-1 win
    over Bonaire. Nick Perera led the USA with five goals. Tanner Akol, Jason Leopoldo and David Mondragon each scored two. The USA will also face Bahamas and Antigua & Barbuda in group play at the tournament in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
