    1. New York City FC signed 28-year-old Scottish international Gary Mackay-Steven as a free agent from Aberdeen. The left-footed winger won back-to-back-to-back Scottish league titles at Celtic and also lifted a Scottish Cup in 2016 before his move to Aberdeen, where he scored 16 goals in 72 appearances in all competitions.

    2. LAFC exercised the contract option of 22-year-old midfielder Latif Blessing, keeping him in Los Angeles until the 2020 season. Blessing, who was acquired from Sporting KC in the 2017 MLS Expansion Draft, has emerged in his second season with LAFC as one of its most influential players in midfield. The Ghanaian had MLS career-highs in goals (5) and assists (6) in 2018 and already has two goals and five assists in 16 games in 2019 for LAFC, the runaway Supporters' Shield winner.

    3. Orlando City has recalled 21-year-old goalkeeper Mason Stajduhar from his loan at the USL Championship's Tulsa Roughnecks. Stajduhar, who started 11 matches across all competitions for the Roughnecks, spent the 2018 season recovering from Ewing's Sarcoma, which he was diagnosed with in 2017, and he was cleared for all soccer activities for the 2019 season.
