    1. The USA will face Mexico for the third time in the last year when they meet in a friendly Sept. 6 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Mexico won the 2019 Gold Cup with a 1-0 victory over the USA eight days ago. In September 2018, the USA beat Mexico, 1-0, in a friendly played in Nashville, Tennessee. It will the first meeting of the North American rivals in the Meadowlands since Mexico's 5-0 win over the USA in the 2009 Gold Cup final.

    2. Emmanuel Sabbi began the new Danish season where he left off for Hobro, scoring in its 1-1 tie with AGF on the opening day of the 2019-20 Superliga season. Sabbi's late-season scoring helped Hobro survive the promotion-relegation playoffs. Sabbi, the subject of recent interest from Israel's Maccabi Haifa, finished with eight goals and three assists in 31 appearances. Christian Cappis, 19, came on in stoppage time for Hobro.

    3. Reign FC acquired Canadian international Rebecca Quinn from French club Paris FC. Quinn, who joined Paris FC for the second half of the 2018-19 French season from the Washington Spirit, played three games off the bench for Canada at the 2019 Women's World Cup. To make room for Quinn, the Reign traded Australian World Cup defender Elise Kellond-Knight to Washington for goalkeeper Sammy Jo Prudhomme. The Reign needed a backup in goal behind Casey Murphy following the placement of Australian World Cup keeper Lydia Williams on the long-term injury list.
