    1. The seven matches that aired on ESPN, ESPN2 or FS1 during MLS's rivalry week drew viewerships that ranged from 304,000 on ESPN for Portland-Seattle to 110,000 on ESPN2 for NYCFC-New York Red Bulls. LAFC-LA Galaxy, Sunday's nightcap, drew more viewers on Fox Deportes (245,000) than on FS1 (217,000).

    2. Mexico called up three MLS players for an initial 31-player squad named for matches
    against the USA on Sept. 6 in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and Argentina on Sept. 10 in San Antonio, Texas. The LA Galaxy's Jonathan dos Santos and Uriel Antuna were both starters on Mexico's 2019 Gold Cup championship team while the Philadelphia Union's Marco Fabian was a scratch for the Concacaf tournament with an injury. In all, 10 foreign-based players are in the squad.

     3. D.C. United forward Wayne Rooney had a game added to his suspension (two games total) and an additional undisclosed fine for his elbow to the neck of Cristian Casseres Jr. that led to a red card in the 21st minute of United's 2-1 loss to the New York Red Bulls. Rooney already missed Saturday's 3-1 loss at Philadelphia that dropped United to fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
