• Gio Reyna's wait to play his first game of the 2023-24 Bundesliga continues. He was again an unused sub for Borussia Dortmund in its 3-1 win at Hoffenheim that temporarily moved it into the league lead. Reyna missed preseason after he fractured his tibia in the Concacaf Nations League final in June and didn't dress for the first time until Sept. 19. • The Professional Soccer Referees Association has called on U.S. Soccer to reexamine the Professional League Sanctioning for Division 3 NISA. In a statement, PSRA says many match officials have not been paid for fees and expenses in almost three months and others have been owed payments for more than a year. PSRA asks NISA to immediately pay its referees and if not, wants U.S. Soccer to use NISA performance bonds to pay them.

• Lorne Donaldson's contract as Jamaica's women's national team coach expired on Friday and was not renewed. Donaldson, who has been mentioned as a candidate for the vacant USWNT head coaching job, led the Reggae Girlz to the round of 16 in their second consecutive trip to the Women's World Cup. On Tuesday, he coached his last game with Jamaica, a 2-1 loss to Canada that eliminated it from Concacaf's Olympic qualifying playoffs. Donaldson is the Real Colorado executive director of coaching and president.
