    Joe Clarke has announced his resignation as Saint Louis University men's coach after 14 years on the job. Clarke, a former star at Saint Louis, had a 205-74-30 record with the Billikens, who qualified for 12 NCAA tournaments. SLU, which won or shared 11 national titles under the late Bob Guelker and Harry Keough between 1959 and 1973, had its worst season in its history in 1995 when it went 5-10-3.   • U.S. Soccer: Ramos out 4-6 months
    U.S. midfielder Tab Ramos -- injured late in the U.S. win over Trinidad & Tobago when he was tackled by a defender while charging toward the T&T goal -- is out 4-6 months. An MRI performed yesterday revealed Ramos, who plays for MLS's MetroStars, injured the anterior crcuiate ligament in his left knee. U.S. team doctor Bert Mandelbaum expects Ramos to fully recover in 4-6 months. Ramos is to undergo reconstructive surgery within two weeks at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
