• U.S. Open Cup: Metros-Burn match moved to Sept. 2 in N.Y.
    The U.S. Open Cup semifinal match between the MetroStars and the Dallas Burn has been moved to Sept. 2 at Baker Field on the campus of Columbia University. The match will kick off at 7:30 p.m. (ET). The match had originally been scheduled as part of a doubleheader with the D.C. United-San Francisco Bay Seals match Sept. 3 in Stockton, Calif.
