[NWSL: Week 3] Sydney Leroux didn’t score, and Megan Rapinoe didn’t play, but that didn’t stop the Seattle Reign from defeating the Washington Spirit, 3-1 on Wednesday evening for its second straight win. First-place Seattle lookslike it is the real deal even though it drew just 1,754 fans on a damp evening for its second game since its move to Memorial Stadium.
The Reign opened the scoring quickly as defender Kendall Fletcher put it ahead in just the third minute offa Jess Fishlock assist.
