North Alabama FUTSAL League
North Alabama FUTSAL presents the 3rd annual Dixie Defrost Futsal Tournament on January 20-21, 2018 (the weekend following the Martin Luther King holiday). With the North Alabama FUTSAL League’s tag line of “Bringing Real Futsal to North Alabama” and adherence to USFF and FIFA Futsal Laws of the Game, players can be confident they will be playing quality, standard, consistent, reliable futsal games. Open youth divisions based on U9 through U19 year old players, middle school (U13–15) and high school (U16–19) divisions and an open adult division will compete. All teams will play a guaranteed minimum of three games each. Division champions and finalists will receive medals. U9 through U12 teams pay only $250 entrance fee; U13 through U16 teams and U13-15 (MS) teams pay only $300 entrance fee; U17 through U19 teams, U16-19 (HS) teams and adult teams pay $350 entrance fee with Early Bird Discounts available. Games are 30 minutes (2 15-min halves), 40 minutes (2 20-min halves) and 50 minutes (2 25 minute halves) long depending upon division. All teams must post a Performance Bond of $75 that is refunded at the end of the tournament, if not used. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ After being chilled by the winter weather, come defrost at this tournament in the Deep South. Compete in the tournament and watch other excellent teams play quality futsal. To be played in the gyms at James Clemens High School and Liberty Middle School in Madison, AL, next to Huntsville, AL, home of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Sci-Quest, Huntsville Museum of Art, Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, EarlyWorks Children’s History Museum, Huntsville Botanical Garden and more.
