[BIG TEN: Women] No. 6 Penn State finished the Big Ten season with a 12-1-0 conference record thanks to a 1-0 win over Maryland. The Nittany Lions, who clinchedthe regular-season championship for the 16th time with a 2-1 win over Iowa the previous Sunday, will face Northwestern in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament hosted by Purdue University inWest Lafayette, Ind., beginning Wednesday.

Michigan secured the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten Tournament after concluding the conference season with an 8-2-3 record. Rutgers earned the No. 4 seed in the Big TenTournament after finishing the season with an 8-4-1 record.
