Soccer America is publishing events of interest in the 11 U.S. World Cup cities. They include soccer award ceremonies and galas, but this new feature will be expanded to include new field and mini-pitch openings and other legacy events, World Cup events, media events, fan fests, book signings and readings and cool soccer activities at pubs and bars.

May 15 (New York)

The American Museum of Natural History will launch World Cup, World Cultures: Celebrating the Community and Science of Sport, a series of programs. On May 15, it opens with For the Win: Objects of Sports Excellence, an exhibition of championship rings, trophies, medals, and jewelry from famous players and teams. On May 18, the Museum will debut Goal Zone, an all-ages interactive soccer play space. Beginning on June 11, opening day, the museum will screen select World Cup matches in galleries and theaters for museum-goers to enjoy watch part. (Information)

From now through the World Cup, Soccer America will publish a series of trivia quizzes, with multiple chances to win a free annual subscription.


May 16-17 (New York)

The Children’s Museum of Manhattan will begin offering programs around the World Cup. Children can use art materials to create paper jerseys and show off which team they will be supporting and show their team spirit. (Information)

May 19 (Seattle)

“Five Ways to Watch the World Cup” with Ron Krabill will examine the 2026 World Cup’s local impact. The talk at Town Hall Seattle (First Hill) will explores political, economic, and cultural perspectives.

May 23 (Seattle)

The Beautiful Game: How Soccer Connects Us All exhibition opens at the Museum of History & Industry. It will feature global photographs from Magnum Photos as well as a selection of photographs from MOHAI’s collection showcasing local soccer and what makes Seattle a soccer hub. (Information)

May 26 (NY/NJ)

A live Roster Reveal Party — the USMNT World Cup team! — will be held at the Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York’s historic South Street Seaport (3 p.m. ET). The celebration will be fee to fans.

June 8 (Los Angeles)

The USMNT will welcome Irvine residents at its first practice at the Great Park Championship Soccer Stadium (9:30 a.m. to noon), four days before its opener against Paraguay at SoFi. Tickets are required and will be awarded (two per registered email address) through a lottery system available through May 25 at 10 a.m. Selected ticket applicants will receive email notification on May 29. (Information)

June 11 (Los Angeles)
U.S. Soccer House opens in Venice Beach. It will feature watch parties, appearances by U.S. legends, speaker sessions and celebrity appearances, and live podcast recordings.

The Total Soccer Show crew will do their first live show in nearly four years, on the eve of USA-Paraguay, at the El Rey Theatre. (Information)
