Katrine Veje scored to give Denmark a 1-0 win over Norway that sent it through to the quarterfinals of Euro 2017. Norway, the Euro 2013 runner-up, exited with three losses in three games andwithout a goal.
Norway missed a penalty kick before halftime as Danish keeper Stina Lykke Petersen stopped Caroline Graham Hansen‘s shot.
Norway coach MartinSjogren said going home without a goal scored was “pretty tough for us. We created chances especially in the second half but the ball wouldn’t go in. It’s very disappointing that we end up withthree losses. It’s a tough experience but you have to learn from all experiences.”
