• Bryan Reynolds is headed to Belgium. Roma has loaned the 20-year-old defender to Westerlo for the 2022-23 season with an option to make the transfer permanent.
• Career: After taking over for European-bound Reggie Cannon at right back for FC Dallas late in the 2020 season, Reynolds himself soon moved to Europe, joining Roma in January 2021 for a fee reported to be a FC Dallas then-club record $8.5 million. He made six Serie A appearance for the Giallorossi in 2021 but moved to Belgium’s Kortrijk in January because he did not figure in Roma coach Jose Mourinho’s plans.
• New club: KVC Westerlo won the second-tier 1B Pro League to return to Belgium’s top flight for the first time since 2017.
