• Ian Ayre will head up new Huntsville team. Ayre will remain Nashville SC’s CEO and also serve as president of its new second team in Alabama. The former Liverpool CEO was hired by Nashville SC in May 2018, almost two years ahead of its launch. Chad Emerson was named the Huntsville team’s managing director of business operations.
Women’s Independent Soccer League:
• Lynn Berling-Manuel named managing director. The former United Soccer Coaches CEO and Soccer America CEO, publisher and editor-in-chief will lead the sanctioning process for WISL, which is applying to U.S. Soccer for Division II status and targeting 2024 for its inaugural season.
