
Clint Peay won four consecutive championships at the University of Virginia in 1991-94 under the coaching of Bruce Arena. Arena then picked Peay 90th overall in the 1996 MLS draft. Peay, who also played on the 1996 U.S. Olympic team coached by Arena, started in D.C. United’s win over the LA Galaxy in the inaugural MLS Cup and was part of D.C. United’s 1997 and 1999 MLS championship squads.
