Tigres 5-1 (0-3) FC Cincinnati: FC Cincinnati was a minute away from moving into the quarterfinals. Tigres had gone ahead 4-0 after 49 minutes on a pair of goals each by Rodrigo Aguirre and Ozziel Herrera, but Cincinnati responded with a vicious header by Kévin Denkey in the 65th minute that evened the series at 4-4 and gave the MLS team the edge on the away goal. But Uruguayan Fernando Gorriarán scored for Los Felinos in the eighth minute of stoppage time to set off wild celebrations at El Volcán. FC Cincinnati has exited the Champions Cup in the round of 16 in each of the last three seasons to Monterrey in 2024 and Tigres in 2025 and 2026.
