FIFA’s plans to conduct its own investigation into corruption within its organization has been dismissed as another whitewash, but the Wall Street Journal reported that it is a broad investigation with serious teeth and designed to ward off the threat of an indictmentby Federal authorities and a freezing of its assets that could bring down the organization.
