At one time, Mark Krikorian was a history teacher not far from where he grew up in New Hampshire. He has worked his way up the coaching ladder and down the Atlantic Coast sincethen, coaching Franklin Pierce University (winning two Division II national championships), the University of Hartford, the WUSA’s Philadelphia Charge and now Florida State, where his teams have wonACC championships six of the last eight years along with the national championship in 2014 and 2018. He also has coached at the youth national team level, leading a U.S. U-19 team with MeganRapinoe, Amy Rodriguez, Becky Sauerbrunn, Rachel Buehler, Yael Averbuch, Stephanie Lopez andAshlyn Harris to a third-place finish in the 2004 U-19 World Cup.
