The NASL’s board of governors has elected Jacksonville Armada FC owner Mark Frisch as its new chairman, replacing AaronDavidson, who was indicted in May in the FIFA scandals that resulted in indictments against 14 individuals.
“Mark has established himself as a leader among our owners, andthey recognized that by electing him as chairman,” said NASL commissioner Bill Peterson. “Mark has a clear vision for the future of this league, and hisguidance and input will be an important component for our continued growth.”
Frisch is the founder and CEO of Sunshine Soccer Group and spearheaded the efforts to bring pro soccerback to Jacksonville in 2013. In its first NASL season, Armada FC is third in the NASL with an average attendance of 8,247 fans a game.
