• The LA Galaxy signed 37-year-old English forward Billy Sharp through the end of the 2023 MLS season with a club option for 2024. He holds the record for the most goals scored in the English Football League Championship with 130 goals scored in 399 appearances. Sharp, whose last eight seasons were spent with Sheffield United, arrives as a free agent, making him to eligible to signing with the Galaxy, which was ineligible to register international signings during the now-close summer window. The Galaxy need help up front in its bid to get back in the MLS playoff race, having lost Chicharito for the season with a knee injury.
