The 21-year-old Mauricio Isais, a Texas native who grew up in North Carolina, scored Pachuca’s fourth goal in the 41st minute of its 5-1 win at Toluca in the first-leg of the Liga MX Apertura final. Isais, discovered at the 2017 Sueno Alianza de Futbol’s showcase by Pachuca, has 22 first-team appearances under his belt including five starts at left back while going the whole 90 minutes in this year’s Apertura playoffs. (Pachuca hosts the final on Sunday.)
